Manager - Senior Business Analyst

• Gather requirements from stakeholders to understand the client problems and opportunities, and what the desired system and/or its iterations should do.  

  
  

• Facilitate technical workshops with stakeholders to gather requirements.  

  
  

• Document the requirements as a BRD/FRD for approval and development (including cross functional flowchart, workflow diagrams, user stories, use cases, wire-framing). 

  
  

• Explain client requirements to the development team to ensure they understand what is required to be built and the expected delivery outcomes. 

  
  

• Liaise with the development team and business team 

  
  

• Assist the team with client requests and focusing the team to investigate helpdesk requests. 

  
  

• Contribute to software testing to include the creation of test plans, test scenarios, and regression testing and working with the Test Manager to provide final approval on systems before they are released to the client for user acceptance testing and go-live. 

  
  

• Manage the internal and external software releases through effective planning, arranging regular client and stakeholder meetings, drafting of relevant documentation including development roadmaps and progress reports. 

  
  

• Provide system training to new users and system demonstrations. 

  
  

• Investigate potential business solutions available in the marketplace and assess relevant Commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) solutions and packages. 

  
  

• Support Project Managers in estimating costs and time requirements of projects, evaluating risks, and predicting potential problems and their mitigation. Effectively mitigating development and delivery risks before they become an escalation. 

  
  

• Bachelor’s in computer science, Engineering, or relevant field  

  
  

• Should be minimum experience of 12-15 years with 5+ years as a Business Analyst  

  
  

• Demonstrable experience as a client-facing business analyst in a technical and/or software delivery role.  

  
  

• Demonstrate experience of business analysis practices, including analysis, investigation, and creation of standard documentation i.e. Scope, BRD, functional specifications, user requirements, release notes.  

  
  

• Competent in tools including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio.  

  
  

• Excellent verbal, written, and visual (diagrammatic) communication skills, confident in presenting technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.  

  
  

• A strong understanding of waterfall and agile software development methodologies and design thinking. 

  
  

Good To Have: 

• Project management experience would be useful. 

  
  

• Experience in using Jira and the wider Atlassian suite, or similar products, to manage the software development process. 

  
  

• Hands on experience in Microsoft Dynamics CRM and PowerApps will be plus.
